CARSON CITY — The state Assembly on Thursday passed a stripped-down Internet gambling bill calling for the state to develop a licensing process for online poker businesses, a month after the U.S. industry melted down amid federal indictments.
CARSON CITY — A Nevada legislative panel Tuesday approved a bill that would pave the way for the Silver State to set the standard for Internet gambling.
Despite the promises of jobs, increased tax dollars and the potential of technology businesses locating to Nevada, a lobbyist for the casino industry told lawmakers Thursday one important aspect would keep them from approving Internet poker in the Silver State.
