Arbor View’s Keith Williams led at the front of a pack of five runners early. Eventually, he managed to hold off PahrumpValley’s Bryce Odegard and Centennial’s Alexander Miller in the final quarter mile, putting in a good finishing kick to cross the line in 16 minutes and 13 seconds.

On Saturday, Green Valley’s Milton Amezcua had the biggest moment of his high school career, winning the junior-senior boys race at the Labor Day Classic at Palo Verde with a time of 16 minutes, 40 seconds for 3.1 miles.
