Arbor View’s Keith Williams led at the front of a pack of five runners early. Eventually, he managed to hold off PahrumpValley’s Bryce Odegard and Centennial’s Alexander Miller in the final quarter mile, putting in a good finishing kick to cross the line in 16 minutes and 13 seconds.
Hailey Stevenson and McKenzi Hall each shot 2-over-par 74 as Centennial’s golf team edged Palo Verde to win the team title in a Northwest League Match at Palm Valley on Tuesday.

After thwarting Sierra Vista’s dual-threat offense on its home field Thursday in a 26-19 victory in the semifinals, Palo Verde (14-5) is back in the Sunset Region final.
