Jacob Heese was 11-for-11 from the free-throw line and scored 26 points Friday to lead the Desert Oasis boys basketball team to an 84-78 road win over Sierra Vista.
Teionni McDaniel had 27 points, five rebounds and five steals to lead Cheyenne’s girls basketball team to a 54-43 home win over Rancho on Friday.
Bryan Montoya had two goals as Palo Verde’s boys soccer team earned a 4-0 home win over Shadow Ridge on Wednesday.
Hannah Ferrara had two goals and two assists, and Karissa Martinez and Sierra Vicente each had a goal and an assist to lead Arbor View’s girls soccer team to a 5-0 home win over Centennial on Wednesday night.
Arbor View’s Keith Williams led at the front of a pack of five runners early. Eventually, he managed to hold off PahrumpValley’s Bryce Odegard and Centennial’s Alexander Miller in the final quarter mile, putting in a good finishing kick to cross the line in 16 minutes and 13 seconds.
Eldorado’s boys soccer team scored three second-half goals on Thursday to rally for a 3-1 road victory over Valley.
Sunrise Mountain’s Alexandra Trinidad scored a goal in the first half, and the game winner off of a free kick in the 70th minute, to lift the Miners to a 3-2 road girls soccer win over Cheyenne on Thursday.
Jimi Villasenor scored twice to lead the Cimarron-Memorial bys soccer team at home over Eldorado, 3-0.
Sydney Dennis and Madelyn Souza each had a goal Tuesday to lead Pahrump Valley’s girls soccer team to a 2-1 road victory over Sunrise Mountain.
Legacy’s Diego Gonzalez-Ruiz scored in the 70th minute on an assist from Randolph Anderson to give the Longhorns the 1-0 win over host Centennial on Monday.
Kennedy Lazenby scored twice in Faith Lutheran’s 4-0 road shutout of Cimarron-Memorial on Monday.
Peter Jankowski scored in the final 10 minutes Tuesday to give Shadow Ridge’s boys soccer team a 3-2 home victory win over Faith Lutheran.
Madison Knoblock was 3-0 in singles and Liberty’s girls tennis team edged visiting Eldorado 10-9 on a tiebreaker on Tuesday.
Jonathan Lai and Marshall Nelson went 3-0 in doubles to lead the the Bonanza boys tennis team to a 10-8 home victory over Spring Valley on Tuesday.
