Track and field meets this season have been limited to four teams. That will change at this week’s regional meets, where as many as 10 teams will compete.
Centennial
Bishop Gorman is the No. 1 seed and favorite in the Class 5A South Region tournament, but Palo Verde leads a group of other teams talented enough to make a run.
Green Valley is the top seed in the Class 5A tournament, followed by Centennial, Arbor View and 2019 state champion Shadow Ridge. The finals are scheduled for Saturday.
Charlie Cerrone, the only baseball coach Centennial High has had, reflects on his 500th coaching victory, molding boys into men and maintaining fields.
