Cannon Green, Christopher Acosta-Lopez and Brandon Rodriguez combined on a two-hitter Saturday to help host Chaparral defeat Canyon Springs, 3-2 in the Cowboy Classic baseball tournament.
Chris Cortez fired a two-hit shutout Wednesday to lead Silverado’s baseball team to a 4-0 home win over Eldorado.
Jessica Meza singled home Kiana Young in the bottom of the eighth inning Wednesday to give Liberty’s softball team a 7-6 home win over Arbor View.
Sebastian Bejaoui scored 16 points, including a pair of 3-pointers late in the game, as Palo Verde’s boys basketball team rallied for a 70-65 road win over Faith Lutheran on Thursday.
Jasmine Richardson scored 15 points Thursday to help host Basic’s girls basketball team to a 53-34 win over Chaparral.
The double teams of Kaya Richardson and Roxanne Okano,and Caroline Hsu and Priya Raju were 3-0 to help Palo Verde’s girls tennis team stave off Faith Lutheran for a 10-9 road victory via a 4-2 tiebreaker on Thursday afternoon.
The doubles teams of Max Wolfson and Frankie Ward, and Oliver Filipovic and Franco Alvarez each went 3-0 to lead Bishop Gorman’s boys tennis team to a 12-6 home win over Foothill on Thursday afternoon.
Boen Huxford had 18 assists and three kills, and Karson Bailey had 16 kills to lead Boulder City’s boys volleyball team to a 27-25, 18-25, 25-22, 21-25, 15-12 road win over Eldorado on Friday night.
Tanner Franklin had 22 kills and 13 digs, and Justin Ahlstrom added 31 assists as Shadow Ridge’s boys volleyball team got past Las Vegas for a 18-25, 25-21, 25-16, 22-25, 15-7 home victory on Tuesday night.
Garrett Lucas threw a five-inning perfect game on Tuesday to lead Pahrump Valley’s baseball team to a 10-0 home win over Del Sol.
Sierra Vista’s softball team scored twice in the bottom of the seventh inning to edge Durango for a 6-5 home victory on Tuesday afternoon.
Mojave guard Kiara Lemon made the go-ahead free throws and scored 27 points to lift the Rattlers to a 50-48 home win over Boulder City on Tuesday night in Class 3A Southern Region play.
Cheyenne’s Angela Hammond won two individual events and ran on two winning relays Friday and Saturday to lead the Desert Shields to the Class 3A Southern Region girls track title in Overton.
Keelan Wickersham poured in a game-high 25 points, and Spring Valley’s boys basketball team rallied to turn back visiting Bonanza 74-67 on Tuesday.
