Samantha Meyers scored two goals Thursday to lead Spring Valley’s girls soccer team to its first state tournament appearance with a 3-1 win over Cheyenne in a Division I-A Southern Region semifinal at Bettye Wilson Park.
Clark’s girls soccer team had enough chances to score at least six goals Monday.
Fortunately for the Chargers, the two goals they did score were more than enough.
Ricardo Gonzalez, Isaac Arellano and Nathaniel Reyes each scored a first-half goal Friday to help Western’s boys soccer team hold off visiting Clark, 3-2.
Kristi Chinn scored on a free kick, and teammate Megan Donnelly added a goal to help Faith Lutheran’s girls soccer team to a 2-0 win at Clark on Wednesday.
