Jaid Raval’s two-run home run with no outs in the top of the sixth inning broke an 8-8 tie and lifted Desert Oasis’ softball team to a 10-8 win at Bishop Gorman on Thursday.
Richard Isaacs hit nine 3-pointers and had 29 points, and teammate Jaden Hardy had 13 points, 11 rebounds and 14 assists Monday as host Coronado outlasted Durango, 99-95.
Arbor View’s Keith Williams led at the front of a pack of five runners early. Eventually, he managed to hold off PahrumpValley’s Bryce Odegard and Centennial’s Alexander Miller in the final quarter mile, putting in a good finishing kick to cross the line in 16 minutes and 13 seconds.
Savon Scarver won two individual events Friday, and the Centennial boys track team took control after the first day of the Skyhawk Invitational at Silverado.
Las Vegas’ softball team took advantage of an error to score the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning, and the host Wildcats edged Basic 4-3 on Tuesday.
Lasith Narasinghe went 3-for-3 with a home run, two runs and three RBIs as Cimarron-Memorial’s baseball team scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 4-4 tie and defeat visiting Shadow Ridge, 8-4 on Tuesday.
Juan Castaneda went 3-for-4 with a double, three runs and five RBIs as the Desert Pines baseball team nipped host Chaparral, 16-15 in six innings in the Cowboy Classic on Monday.

Eduardo Quintero-Rodriguez scored his second goal of the match with 23 minutes left to break a 1-1 tie and lift Canyon Springs’ boys soccer team to a 2-1 victory over visiting Liberty on Wednesday.
Kristi Chinn scored on a free kick, and teammate Megan Donnelly added a goal to help Faith Lutheran’s girls soccer team to a 2-0 win at Clark on Wednesday.
Alyssa Larkin had a goal and an assist Monday to help top-ranked Arbor View’s girls soccer team defeat second-ranked Coronado, 3-1 in a home match.
James Reed had 17 kills and seven digs Tuesday to help host Green Valley’s boys volleyball team to a 25-19, 25-27, 25-16, 26-24 win over Rancho.
Michael Pecjak won two individual events at Municipal on Saturday to help Tech’s boys swimming team to a 124-116 victory over Virgin Valley.
Mckenzie Grimes won two individual events at Pavilion on Saturday to lead Centennial’s girls swimming team to a 163-130 win over Desert Oasis.
