After nearly eight hours of deliberations, a Clark County jury convicted a former Air Force technical sergeant Friday of involuntary manslaughter in the death of his wife.
Bryan Clay was formally sentenced Thursday on charges related to the murders of Ignacia “Yadira” Martinez, 38, and her 10-year-old daughter, Karla. Clay alluded to an appeal, telling District Judge Douglas Herndon, “We’re not done yet. It’s not complete.”
As the tears dripped down her face, the mother of a convicted murderer looked toward jurors Friday and begged them to spare her son’s.
A Las Vegas man was convicted Tuesday of raping and murdering a mother and her 10-year-old daughter in a bloody 2012 attack that nearly killed the woman’s husband.
