A man died along a busy stretch of South Rainbow Boulevard on Monday, and Las Vegas police were looking for the driver they said struck him while he pushed a toddler in a stroller.

It didn’t take long for Uber to come to a screeching halt in Nevada. Carson City District Court Judge James Russell on Friday afternoon blocked Uber from offering any rides in the state through at least Nov. 7. A hearing is set for Nov. 6.
