Teionni McDaniel had 27 points, five rebounds and five steals to lead Cheyenne’s girls basketball team to a 54-43 home win over Rancho on Friday.
Omar Rubio led the way, as he once again edged Arbor View’s Ian Jackson at the end to win the 3.1-mile race. Rubio sprinted away in the final 300 meters to win in 16 minutes, 24.4 seconds. Jackson finished second in 16:26.9.
Sarah Goddard had 14 kills, three aces and two blocks Thursday as Arbor View’s girls volleyball team rallied for a 19-25, 25-7, 25-16, 25-21 victory over visiting Desert Oasis.
