When you click on “entrees” on the website for Tom’s Urban, there’s a juicy, full-color image of the ribs, complete with detailed description. But when we got to the restaurant there was no sign of them on the menu or anywhere else.

They don’t bring you chips and salsa when you sit down at Mercadito. And frankly, we didn’t even notice until later, because there’s so much going on at this Mexican restaurant that isn’t a typical Mexican restaurant.

If you’re a barbecue fan, Fox Smokehouse BBQ is definitely worth a stop, even if you don’t live in Boulder City. It’s no wonder Fox’s has pretty much flown under the radar. Not only is it tucked away in one of the quietest areas of Clark County, it’s off the beaten path even for Boulder City.
