Liberty’s girls basketball team went on a 13-0 run to start the game Friday night en route to its 62-20 victory over Foothill in the Diamond bracket quarterfinals of the Gator Winter Classic at Green Valley.

Cimarron-Memorial’s girls basketball team fell behind 18-3 early in the second quarter and couldn’t recover in its 54-45 loss to Spanish Springs in the Gator Winter Classic at Green Valley on Thursday.
Green Valley finished 26.5 percent shooting from the field, including 1-for-11 in the third quarter, to allow visiting Beverly Hills (California) to pull away from a 21-all halftime score and claim a 52-39 victory in the Gator Winter Classic.
Spring Valley’s girls basketball team took the lead with 46 seconds to play on Thursday and held on for a 47-45 win over Regis Jesuit (Colorado) in the La Jolla (California) Sweet 16 Tournament.
