Mojave and Virgin Valley both fell in their Class 3A state girls basketball semifinal games at Reno High School on Friday.

Led by the shooting of junior Alecia Kelly and the inside work of junior Chania Scott, Mojave scored 29 points in the final eight minutes to secure a 52-43 victory over Virgin Valley for its first region title.
The Rattlers blew a six-point lead in the final 22 seconds of overtime, but managed to maintain their poise and eventually pulled off a 59-57 thriller in triple overtime against Moapa Valley in the Class 3A Southern Region semifinals at Del Sol on Thursday.
