Las Vegas native Bella Sims, who swims for Sandpipers of Nevada, helped qualify the U.S. for the 800-meter freestyle relay in the Tokyo Olympics, where it finished second.

Erica Sullivan, who went to Palo Verde High School and swims for Las Vegas-based club Sandpipers of Nevada, will compete in the 1,500-meter freestyle at the Olympics.
Sandpipers of Nevada, a Las Vegas-based swim club, is sending four athletes to the Olympic Games in Tokyo. After that showing, the club is getting attention from all over the nation.

When competition begins Friday, it will end a 401-day drought since the Clark County School District suspended all sporting events at the start of the COVID pandemic.
