Sasha Bolla had 17 kills and three digs on Thursday as Coronado’s girls volleyball team rallied for a 25-16, 22-25, 23-25, 25-14, 15-8 home victory over Centennial.
Senior Rachel Chambers had nine kills as visiting Shadow Ridge swept Coronado 25-20, 25-19, 25-20 to give the Cougars their first loss to an in-state opponent since Sept. 11, 2014.
The Coronado’s doubles pair of Mana Iritani and Sofia Potamitis went 3-0 in the Cougars’ 16-2 home victory against Green Valley.
