Legacy volleyball coach Raymond Lewis called his team together in the final minute of warm-ups prior to the Longhorns’ Sunset Region quarterfinal match against Arbor View, the No. 1 seed from the Northwest League.
Hannah Goddard had 16 kills, and Sarah Goddard added 14 kills Thursday to help Arbor View’s girls volleyball team win its first league title with a 25-22, 25-17, 25-14 win over visiting Bonanza in a battle of the top two teams in the Northwest League.
Sydney Berenyi had 21 kills and 14 digs Tuesday as Silverado’s girls volleyball team won the Northeast League title by downing host Las Vegas, 25-21, 25-17, 19-25, 25-20.
Sydney Land had 19 kills, and Kira Felise had 42 assists and seven digs to lead Sierra Vista’s girls volleyball team to an 18-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-17 win over host Mojave on Wednesday.
