Federal prosecutors insisted in a recent court filing that any future trial against Douglas Haig needs to mention Stephen Paddock, the man who fatally shot 58 people on the Strip.
After nearly 16 months, the agency said it could not determine why gunman Stephen Paddock killed 58 people and injured hundreds of others in October 2017.

Las Vegas police killed 12 people in 2018, one of the deadliest years on record for the department.
