Police were called Monday to the 1100 block of Pearl Avenue at 3 p.m. in east Las Vegas, where they found a man suffering from apparent blunt force trauma.
Investigators believe Tovoris Jackson was fatally shot after another man asked him to step outside his apartment early Friday.
Brandon Dixon, 41, died of a gunshot wound to the chest, according to the Clark County coroner’s office, which ruled his death a homicide.
A man accused of fatally shooting his neighbor May 22 had previously threatened to kill him, according to a newly released arrest warrant.
The Clark County Detention Center inmate, who was booked on Sept. 28, 2018, for first-degree murder and first-degree kidnapping, died at University Medical Center, police said.
