Two Nevada Highway Patrol troopers were struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver Thursday on northbound Interstate 15 near D Street. The driver was later arrested.
In an interview with the Review-Journal, Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo says witnesses saw the drivers of two cars “flashing gang signs back and forth prior to the shooting.”
The shooting occurred about 2:20 a.m. as two cars were traveling side by side on the eastbound lanes of the freeway near the airport connector, Las Vegas police say.
One person was killed and two were injured in a shooting at a business park in northeast Las Vegas on Thursday morning.
The victim, a woman in her 30s, worked at a downtown-area casino and was driving home when she was slain, Las Vegas police said.
