Officers responded to reports of multiple gunshots inside a home on the 6400 block of Bright Nimbus Avenue and found a woman dead from gunshot sounds.
Freddy Allen, 58, was arrested on suspicion of murder in the 9:39 p.m. attack on a pedestrian bridge at Las Vegas Boulevard South and Tropicana Avenue.
Las Vegas police Lt. Ray Spencer said the woman was in the house with her boyfriend and three small children when her ex-boyfriend broke into the house.
Charles Jackson, 40, was arrested last week on two counts of second-degree murder in the fentanyl overdose deaths of a mother and son.
One person was killed and six others were injured in a shooting near UNLV reported late Thursday night.
