A North Carolina mayor says that five people including a police officer were killed in a shooting in a residential area.
Tudor Chirila Jr., 77, was being held Thursday in the Washoe County Jail without bail on a charge of being a fugitive from another state.
The suspects, including a Mafia hitman, are accused of killing the notorious Boston crime boss in a West Virginia prison.
