The Liberty football team overcame an 0-5 start to win its final 10 games and first state title to earn the Review-Journal’s Nevada Preps Team of the Year award.

Liberty ended 10-time state football champion Bishop Gorman’s 115-game winning streak against in-state opponents in the Nevada Preps Game of the Year.
Moliki Matavao, a 6-foot-6-inch, 240-pound tight end from Liberty, announced Wednesday on Twitter his commitment to play for Oregon.
Coronado junior Jaden Hardy is the Nevada Preps Boys Athlete of the Year after averaging 30.4 points, 9.1 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game.
Pahranagat Valley (Class 1A), The Meadows (2A) and Boulder City (3A) claimed One Nevada Cup titles. Bishop Manogue won in 4A.
