Nearly 700 union workers agreed to terms on a tentative five-year contract with Circus Circus late Friday night, according to a union news release.

In a 24-hour voting period, nearly 600 union members out of 620 voted to authorize a strike.
A strike deadline is 13 days away with 18 more Las Vegas resorts yet to agree on a new contract with the Culinary Union.
The union has reached contracts with most major resort/casinos in the valley, but had not reached deals with several independent operators.
