Officers were called just before 6 p.m. to the 400 block of Mesquite Avenue, near City Parkway, after a man with multiple stab wounds was found, Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Ray Spencer said.

Las Vegas police have identified the man suspect in the Sunday night stabbing death of another man in the central valley.
A homeless man who was stabbed to death in the south central valley late last month has been identified as Michael Lyndon Patty, 55.
According to Las Vegas Review-Journal records, Metro investigated 171 homicides, not including the 58 deaths from the mass shooting on Oct. 1.
