The board voted 4-3 last week to terminate Superintendent Jesus Jara’s contract “for convenience,” meaning they didn’t need to provide a reason. He’ll remain on the job until Dec. 1.
A ceremony Tuesday in the school’s library marked the deactivation of the school’s Air Force JROTC unit and began the transition to operating under the newly created Space Force.
The Clark County School Board will discuss next steps following Superintendent Jesus Jara’s surprise ouster last week at a previously scheduled meeting on Thursday.
