North Las Vegas police and the U.S. Marshals Service worked together to arrest a man suspected of robbery after a prolonged barricade Tuesday afternoon that also locked down two schools.

Every kindergartner in Nevada public schools now has a college savings account with a $50 balance. The Nevada state treasurer’s office opened these 35,000 accounts and made the $1.8 million in deposits using no taxpayer money, repeating what it did last year for that kindergarten class of about the same size.
Classes are now being offered to parents of Clark County School District students, teaching them how to help their children with math homework.
