Neon Museum programs include special one-night events, such as an upcoming free stargazing night and monthlong celebrations of culture, such as February’s Black History Month, when the museum is set to highlight the work of Paul Revere Williams, the creator of many works of classic googie architecture, a style typified by strong curves and geometric shapes and a dramatic use of steel and glass. Twenty rooms at the Gateway Motel are set to house art and activist messages during the Greetings From Las Vegas pop-up art event scheduled from 6 to 10 p.m. Dec. 5 at the 928 Las Vegas Blvd. South motel. The rooms are set to be converted for one night to exhibition space for artists, designers, activists and community members to showcase visions of a greener, more sustainable Las Vegas Valley.
