More than a million first doses of the COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in Clark County, the Southern Nevada Health District announced in a press release Tuesday.

With the county’s two mass vaccination clinics scheduled to close next month, health officials are looking for ways to get more newly eligible adolescents inoculated.
The health district’s chief health officer says about 50 percent of eligible Clark County residents 16 and older has received at least one shot of COVID-19 vaccine. Clark County has set a threshold of 60 percent before fully reopening.
