The victim, a woman in her 30s, worked at a downtown-area casino and was driving home when she was slain, Las Vegas police said.
“He was a great brother, a great father, a kind and loving person who wouldn’t hurt anyone,” the victim’s older sister Nisha Taylor said. “That’s why I don’t understand why.”
Las Vegas police said they shot and killed a man Monday after he held a woman hostage in a northeast valley home. The hostage was not injured.
