Nevada no longer has one of the worst COVID-19 vaccination rates per capita in the U.S., according to federal data released Thursday.

Nevada’s first reported case of the coronavirus was March 5. In the months that have passed, the state has seen a drop in its seven-day average of new cases and hospitalizations are down.
The illness can lead to pneumonia, multi-organ failure and death. As of Saturday, the virus had hospitalized more than 400 people in Clark County and killed 41.
