Clark County Deputy Fire Chief Warren Whitney estimated the loss at $25 million to $30 million Tuesday, hours after firefighters contained the blaze in the southwest valley.
As of about 1:40 a.m., the three-alarm fire was still burning near Fort Apache Road and Tropicana Avenue. The blaze had been raging since at least 11:50 p.m. Monday.
Fire crews located a body in the remains of what they previously believed was a vacant wedding chapel that burned down Tuesday night.
