A man arrested in connection with a four-decade-old slaying near Reno is suspected by authorities in two other, similar killings that took place around the same time.
Authorities say Juan Hernandez, 25, was dressed as the Joker and identified himself to police as the main character in the film, Arthur Fleck, when he was arrested on Oct. 27.
Lawyers told the high court a Washoe County grand jury had no authority to indict the suspect for two of the killings that occurred outside the county.
