Nevada recorded 1,018 new cases of COVID-19 and 21 more deaths over the preceding day as the death toll in the state surged past 800, according to data posted Thursday.

Health officials reported more than 1,000 new COVID-19 cases in Nevada on Sunday and two additional deaths. Of those cases, 807 were reported in Clark County.
Clark County reported 1,263 new cases of the coronavirus and 11 additional deaths on Friday, according to the Southern Nevada Health District.
The first coronavirus antibody study in the state by public health officials shows that about 2.3 percent of adult residents in Washoe County have been infected.
