U.S. Sen. Harry Reid is not on the ballot this year but few have more riding on the outcome of Tuesday’s elections than the majority leader from Nevada. The results could determine the path forward for the veteran Senate leader in the autumn of a long career.
Nevada’s Humboldt County should not be confused with the marijuana-loving Humboldt County in Northern California. The county is in the northwestern part of the state, bordered by Idaho and nestled between Elko and Washoe counties and sitting directly atop Pershing County.
