The Formula One race was expected to generate $1.2 billion in economic impact. But some small businesses near the Strip say they didn’t see much of a benefit.

Hotel room rates on the Strip are some of the lowest they’ve been for last-minute travelers to the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix.
TSA officials expect over 98,000 people at Harry Reid International Airport on Sunday and 94,000 on Monday following the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix.
The drop in demand forced a gas station to lay off four people on Oct. 19, cut hours for others and reduced the number of people on schedule at a time.
