A former media executive with Las Vegas ties pleaded guilty on Monday for her role in a sweeping national college bribery scam.

The ring used the stolen information to counterfeit ATM and bank cards that were used to withdraw cash and purchase luxury goods in Las Vegas and in at least six states.
The award from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation will be used to address incarceration and bail policies with a goal of reducing the Clark County Detention Center population by 20 percent.
