The Foothill baseball team defeated Shadow Ridge to win the Class 4A state title Saturday at the College of Southern Nevada.

Grayson Tressler went 4-for-5 with a home run, a triple, two doubles and five RBIs in the Mustangs’ 21-5 win over Del Sol on Friday.
Shadow Ridge junior Brayden Somers had 15 strikeouts to help the defending Class 4A state champion Mustangs to a road win over Sierra Vista on Wednesday.
David Meng and Dan Thomas were each notified by Palo Verde and Shadow Ridge, respectively, about their dismissals as the school’s baseball coach just weeks before the start of the season.
