Silverado surrendered points for the first time since Sept. 9, but still rolled to a victory over Coronado on Friday night in the Class 4A state football semifinals.

Silverado, the No. 1 Class 4A team in the Southern Nevada football rankings, will host a 5A opponent in Palo Verde after a bye last week.
Silverado opened with a 57-7 win over Class 5A Centennial and has this week off. No. 2 Shadow Ridge will play at Arbor View, 5A’s third-ranked team.
Silverado cruised to the Class 4A state football championship last season, but coach Andy Ostolaza expects a more difficult path to the title this year.
Silverado returns many of its top players after a season in which it went 12-0, won the Class 4A state championship and outscored its opponents 628-128.
