Palo Verde and Coronado’s girls golf teams braved the windy conditions Monday afternoon to take leads in the Class 4A Sunset and Sunrise Region tournaments at Boulder City Municipal.

Julia Becker fired a 4-under-par 68 at Palm Valley on Thursday to lead Faith Lutheran’s girls golf team to a victory in a Division I-A Sunset League match.
Ashley Malone shot a 1-over-par 37 at Highland Falls on Tuesday to help Desert Oasis win a three-team match.
Several athletic events today and Wednesday involving Moapa Valley and Virgin Valley have been postponed because of the closure of Interstate 15 northeast of Las Vegas.
