WINNEMUCCA — Green Valley’s quest to win a fourth straight state wrestling title got off to a solid start on the first day of the Division I tournament Friday.

Victoria Tolle completed 19 of 25 passes for 318 yards and four touchdowns Tuesday to help Shadow Ridge’s flag football team secure the Southwest League’s final spot in the Sunset Region playoffs with a 32-13 win at Palo Verde.

Paulina Franco threw for 245 yards and three touchdowns Wednesday to help Las Vegas High’s flag football team roll to a 25-0 win over visiting Valley.

Akia Williams rushed for 142 yards and a score and caught a touchdown pass Monday to help host Legacy’s flag football team rout visiting Spring Valley, 51-13.
