Shadow Ridge, Palo Verde, Desert Oasis and Bishop Gorman are all contenders for the Class 5A flag football state championship this season.
High school football players from 14 high schools signed their national letter of intent to play in college. Athletes in other sports signed as well.
A Monday matchup between No. 1 Shadow Ridge and No. 2 Palo Verde could determine the top seed in the playoffs in what has been a heated flag football race.
