Stacey Hone had 14 kills and four digs, and Autumn Spendlove added 39 assists and five digs as Shadow Ridge’s girls volleyball team swept visiting Palo Verde 25-19, 25-21, 25-18 on Thursday in a battle for first place in the Northwest League.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Rancho rallies to beat Las Vegas

Karime Raygoza recorded 16 kills and 20 digs, and Leiana Nacapuy tallied 48 assists and eight digs as Rancho’s girls volleyball team topped host Las Vegas, 19-25, 25-15, 25-19, 25-15.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Las Vegas outlasts Valley in five sets

Anna Dobbins dished out 31 assists, and Adriana Rios had 11 kills and eight digs to help Las Vegas’ girls volleyball team to a 25-2, 25-14, 22-25, 23-25, 15-6 win over host Valley on Wednesday.

RECRUITING: Arbor View’s Jones, Sims to team up again at Southern Utah

Bishop Jones and Alex Sims each signed a national letter of intent with Southern Utah on Wednesday, the first day recruits can make their commitments binding. They were two of 10 Arbor View athletes who signed during a morning ceremony in the school’s gym in front of more than 50 friends and family members.
