The Gaels, the defending Class 4A state champions, defeated Boulder City, the reigning Class 3A champ, 15-25, 25-8, 15-13 in the title match Saturday.
Cody Prince won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 52.06 seconds and a margin of victory of .32 seconds to lead the Shadow Ridge boys swimming team to a 149-145 victory over Centennial at Pavilion on Saturday.
Maddy Pewtress won two individual events and swam on two winning relay teams Saturday at Multi-Generational to lead Eldorado’s girls swimming team to a 118-62 win over Chaparral.
Erik Dulittle allowed one run on five hits in 6⅓ innings Wednesday to lead Spring Valley’s baseball team to a 5-1 home win over Foothill for the Grizzly Invitational title.
Bishop Gorman No. 3 singles player Blake Weismann won a tiebreaking point over Palo Verde’s top singles player, Jack Kostrinsky, to help the Gaels’ boys tennis team edge the Panthers on the road, 10-9.
Anna Pfarrer went 3-0 in singles as the Liberty girls tennis team beat Valley at home in the Class 4A Sunrise Region quarterfinals Thursday, 11-7.
