Shadow Ridge’s flag football team defeated Palo Verde to win its third straight Class 5A flag football state title Tuesday.

Palo Verde bowler Rylan Breese helped his team win Class 5A boys bowling state title Friday to earn Nevada Preps Boys Athlete of the Week honors.
The three Nevada high school state championship flag football games take place Tuesday, led by Shadown Ridge’s matchup with Palo Verde in 5A.
Shadow Ridge, Palo Verde, Desert Oasis and Bishop Gorman are all contenders for the Class 5A flag football state championship this season.
High school football players from 14 high schools signed their national letter of intent to play in college. Athletes in other sports signed as well.
