The spring sports season was limited to six weeks, with some teams’ seasons even shorter because of COVID, but players and coaches were just happy to get back on the field.
Trinity Brandon was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored, and Arbor View beat Shadow Ridge 6-5 to win the Class 5A Southern Region softball crown.
Green Valley is the top seed in the Class 5A tournament, followed by Centennial, Arbor View and 2019 state champion Shadow Ridge. The finals are scheduled for Saturday.
