Las Vegas police are investigating a shooting late Tuesday that left a Las Vegas woman with a gunshot wound to the face.

A man accused of shooting a waiter 11 times at a Chinatown restaurant was ordered held without bail early Tuesday by a justice of the peace.
Chengyan Wang was shot in an after-hours burglary at ShangHai Taste, 4266 W. Spring Mountain Road, on Dec. 20.
Edward Charles Jones, 28, was booked at the Clark County Detention Center on a single count of murder with use of a deadly weapon Thursday.
“(Chengyan Wang) opened his eyes yesterday miraculously,” said the co-owner of the ShangHai Taste restaurant. “It is the best news we have gotten in a very long time.”
A waiter shot multiple times by a burglar at a Chinatown restaurant was fighting for his life Tuesday after undergoing a string of surgeries at University Medical Center.
The shooting, which left the renter in critical condition, is at least the second in Las Vegas in the last four months involving unpaid rent.
The shooting at East Silverado Ranch Boulevard and Gillespie Street about 7:45 a.m. left one person injured and closed roads in the area.
