A Las Vegas police sergeant shot and killed a man Wednesday night after she found him stabbing a woman at a southeast valley apartment complex, a Metropolitan Police Department official said.
Shootings
A dispute between neighbors led to a stabbing and then a deadly shooting Saturday afternoon in the central Las Vegas Valley, police said.
Prosecutors charged Marcus Maddox, 30, with attempted murder in Nov. 19 attack on his wife, but didn’t charge him with murder in his daughter’s death and attempted murder in his son’s stabbing until Jan. 18, after the son identified him.
According to Las Vegas Review-Journal records, Metro investigated 171 homicides, not including the 58 deaths from the mass shooting on Oct. 1.
