Forward Cal Jennings scored two goals Tuesday night, helping the Las Vegas Lights to snap their three-game losing streak with a 3-1 victory over Orange County SC at Cashman Field.
The win snapped the Lights’ two-game losing skid and improved their record to 3-6-1 on the season.
Bryce Duke has made seven appearances for the Lights in 2021, scoring one goal and recording two assists. He has also created 21 chances, good for sixth in the USL.
It will be the fourth home game in the last five outings for the Lights as they look to get back on track after a 3-1 loss to Orange County last weekend.
Cal Jennings leads the team in goals with three, is toward the top of the USL in shots on goal with 14 and has an assist.
The win was the Lights’ first of the season and brings their record to 1-4. They are in eighth place in the USL Western Conference Pacific Division.
Julian Gaines, who committed to Oregon State, felt signing with the Lights would give him the best opportunity to develop as a soccer player.
Danny Musovski was raised in Henderson and attended Liberty High School. He’s spent the first two games of the 2021 USL season with the Lights on loan from LAFC.
This will be the Lights’ second road matchup of the season after falling to LA Galaxy II 5-0 last week.
A lot has changed since the Las Vegas Lights FC last finished the COVID-shortened 2020 season with a 2-9-5 record.
