Softball
Western’s Alexa Camacho was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs Thursday as the visiting Warriors held on to beat Desert Pines, 13-11.
Kaitlin Fazendin had a home run and a double Thursday as Durango’s softball team scored three in the seventh inning to stun host Desert Oasis, 11-9.
Angela Santillanes doubled home Sanoe Helenihi in the bottom of the seventh Monday to lift Basic’s softball team to a 7-6 home win over Rancho.
Caitlyn Covington was 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBIs to lead Shadow Ridge’s softball team to a 7-5 road victory over Centennial on Friday afternoon.
Sara Riley was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs, and Bonanza’s softball team held on for an 8-4 road victory over Las Vegas High on Wednesday afternoon.
Makena Martin hit a walk-off two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning Tuesday to complete Palo Verde’s rally and help the Panthers’ softball team beat visiting Faith Lutheran, 5-4.
Adriana Thomason scored on a passed ball in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift Arbor View’s softball team to a 7-6 victory over Faith Lutheran on Thursday evening.
Maggie Whipple scored the game-winning run in the seventh inning Tuesday as Faith Lutheran’s softball team rallied to edge host Arbor View, 6-5.
Morgan Matsumoto went 2-for-3 with an RBI Monday as Foothill’s softball team defeated host Las Vegas, 8-4.
Kiana Tate went 2-for-4 with two homers and RBIs to help Centennial’s softball team to a 13-12 home victory over Cimarron-Memorial on Friday evening.
Alyssa Vigil singled home Abigail Cordova with the go-ahead run in the top of the sixth to break a 15-15 tie and help Green Valley’s softball team top host Sierra Vista, 20-19 in six innings at the Mountain Lion/Blazer Classic.
